ACRS PROCEDURES
For many specifiers and users, reinforcing steels and associated products are often taken for granted in the procurement process and have become commodities largely differentiated on price alone. Reinforcing steel products in Australia are most commonly ordered to Australian Standards and most designers specify reinforcing steels to Australian Standards, with little knowledge about the product being ordered, how it is made, inspected, tested, or what performance characteristics it may have, and how these influence fabrication, site operations and structural performance. The procedures available for download in this section, detail the requirements for conformance with Australian Standards and the scope and level of reporting under the ACRS Scheme to be undertaken by either steel manufacturers or product suppliers so that they may reasonably demonstrate their compliance with the Standard. |
