I am delighted to announce that the ACRS Board has appointed a new Director, Diana Zagora, Director Civil Engineering Infrastructure in the Asset Management Branch in Transport for NSW, onto the ACRS Board.

Diana, Chartered Engineer, Roads Australia Fellow, Engineers Australia Sydney Committee Member and Austroads Bridge Taskforce representative for NSW, was a NSW Transport Woman of the Year – Road Freight NSW finalist in 2018 and brings more than 20 years of experience to the Board. 

In her current role, Diana leads a team of engineers in the areas of bridges and structures, steelwork and concrete, tunnels and geotechnical, to develop and manage engineering standards relating to civil infrastructure assets across Transport for NSW. Diana was instrumental in the development of the publicly released NSW Freight and Ports Plan, a supporting plan to Future Transport 2056. 

Diana brings to the Board a high level of expertise and rigour that will ensure that ACRS governance continues from strength to strength. Her position and experience in infrastructure and engineering, but outside the steel industry, is an invaluable contribution to our consumer-focused offering.

The Board of ACRS represents a balance of interests and a broad range of construction industry participants, including private and public sector specifiers, users, and suppliers. Diana’s end-user focused viewpoint contributes greatly to the ACRS scheme’s rigour and independence.
